In fact, it increases the ability to print large bumps and bridges while maintaining an extremely stable temperature. Very useful silicone socks: will keep your heating block clean and free of plastic blackened and burnt. They will not only keep the beaker clean, but will also keep the heat in and out of your print. Made of heat-resistant, non-stick silicone that will repel plastic buildup molten. It really helps with sticky materials such as copolyesters and filled with materials you want to build into the nozzles. The sock also acts as an insulator for the printhead. This will reduce heat over time and help maintain a consistent temperature while printing.
