The optical fiber loop allows removal or addition of a single vehicle component without affecting the car's fiber-optic network. It can diagnose and locate faults within a node in the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) network. Useful for troubleshooting issues such as intermittent sound or no sound from the Bluetooth phone module when the stereo is on. By disconnecting the fiber head of the phone module and connecting it to the fiber loop, the Bluetooth phone function can be deactivated, restoring normal o output.
