BP5: Use for light non-metallic spacing and alignment; confirm thread engagement and material suitability before fitting.. || PRODUCT DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: These M8 x 500 mm white PTFE threaded rods are supplied as two larger fully threaded plastic bars. M8 gives more handling area than smaller PTFE sizes and is useful for light alignment bars, adjustable spacer runs and non-metallic threaded sections where a smooth plastic thread is preferred. PTFE offers low friction, electrical insulation and broad chemical compatibility in suitable conditions. It is still softer and less rigid than metal, so it should be used where the material behaviour is appropriate.
