The ACS758 consists of a precision, low-offset linear Hall sensor circuit with a copper current path located close to the sensor. Current flowing through the copper path generates a magnetic field, which is sensed by the integrated Hall IC and converted into a proportional voltage. Device accuracy is optimized by positioning the magnetic signal close to the Hall sensor. The output voltage is highly accurate and stable, provided by a chopper-stabilized, low-offset BICMOS IC calibrated for precision. The internal resistance of the current conduction path is typically 100 mΩ, enabling low power loss. The copper conductor is designed to withstand high overcurrent conditions. The conduction path terminals and sensor pins (pins 1 to 3) are electrically isolated, allowing use in applications requiring galvanic isolation without external insulators or complex insulation methods. The ACS758 is fully calibrated prior to shipment. It is a lead-free product; all pins are plated with 100% matte tin, and no lead is present in the package.
