1.The device is suitable for wave applications where a simple dipole magnet rotates above or below the sensor IC and the zero position can be programmed into the device using simple SPI commands. The absolute magnetic angular position resolution is 14 bits 16384 position measurements per revolution as digital values for the serial interface (SPI). 2.The AS5048A is a 14bit rotary position sensor (formerly referred to as an encoder) with absolute angle measurement and PWM output ( pulse width modulation) at 360 based on less magnetic sensor technology for full rotation.
