<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Brake fluid tester with moisture content LED Indicator.</p> <p>High water content lowers the boiling point &amp; affects braking performance.</p> <p>Measurement is based on a change in conductivity, to determine the moisture level in the brake fluid.</p> <p>There are 8 indications on the meter:<br><br>1. Green</p> <p>The green LED lights = water content in the brake fluid - H2O &lt;1.5%, brake fluid qualifies</p> <p>Battery OK, that is, brake fluid does not contain water</p> <p>2. Yellow</p> <p>The yellow LED lights = brake fluid water content H2O = 1.5% to 3%, can continue to use, test again in six months</p> <p>Low moisture content, check again in six months</p> <p>3. Red</p> <p>The red LED lights = water content in the brake fluid H2O&gt;3%, do not continue to use the brake fluid, it needs to be replaced</p> <p>The brake fluid needs immediate replacement, green represents good condition, yellow indicates the state is acceptable but should soon be replaced.</p> <p>4. Flashing red</p> <p>Battery on the unit needs to be replaced</p> <p>5. Green / yellow</p> <p>Brake fluid has water content of less than 1%, good brake fluid performance, can continue to be used.</p> <p>6. Green / yellow / yellow:</p> <p>Brake fluid water content of about 2%, brake fluid can continue to be used.</p> <p>7. Green / yellow / yellow / red:</p> <p>Brake fluid water content of about 3%, recommend replacement of brake fluid.</p> <p>8. Green / yellow / yellow / red / red:</p> <p>Brake fluid water content of at least 4%, the brake fluid must be replaced immediately, could be dangerous to continue use.</p>
