To switch it off, when the display shows "0", press and hold "ON/OFF" for another 3 seconds. The add/subtract feature allows you to press the "+" button to increase the count by one and the "-" button to decrease it by one, with a maximum display value of "9999". If the display reads "0" and you press "-", it will reset to "9999". You can toggle the clicker sound on or off by holding down the green or red button for 3 seconds.
