Sitting securely in the socket of this wood carving chisel is a tough red oak handle, secured at the end with a metal ring to keep the wood from splitting and to absorb the impact of mallet blows while carving.The 9mm blade is one of the smaller size blades found on socket chisels, and is excellent for roughing out shapes, and removing a quantity of wood.
